How long does it take to obtain a permit?
a. An application must first be reviewed for zoning (depending on the scope of work)
b. Once the zoning review is finished and if no variance is required, a structural review is then performed.
* If the application does not conform to Village Zoning Code, 1 of 2 options can occur, #1 is modify the application to conform to the zoning regulations or #2 request a variance from the Village Board of Zoning Appeals.
c. Lastly, all fees must be paid prior to issuance of permit.

What are the zoning regulations?
The Village is comprised of 11 different Zoning Districts, each of which has different regulations to both land use and yard regulations. Building and Surface coverage are based on Lot size.
** (In order to find out the exact zoning coverage for a particular lot, an application for plan review must be submitted to the building dept.) **
